Hennessey Officially Showed 300 mph Venom F5!

Finally, Hennessey represented us their last work Venom F5 in Las Vegas on SEMA auto show. Reminding their aim was to build the fastest car in the world which could accelerate to 300mph (484 km/h) or even more.

This company has already built one of the fastest car  — Venom GT, for this purpose they used the Lotus chassis. However, for new Venom F5 they created absolutely new chassis considering all aerodynamics rules. As the basic material, Hennessey used carbon monocoque and also, they used this light and strong material for producing aerodynamic body kit and chassis panels. As the result Venom’s F5 drag coefficient is only 0,33 Cd. For reference Venom GT has 0,44 Cd and Bugatti Chiron — 0,38 Cd.

This supercar has no electric engine, this creature build for truly petrol lovers. In the front of the car, there is Hennessey developed V8 with the volume of 7,5 L which is force-fed by a pair of turbochargers. Now this car has 1600 HP and 1760 Nm. All these power controlled by 7 steps auto transmission, or it is also an available option with manual transmission; however, traction control will be working only till the 225 km/h. For strong adhesion to the road, the company chooses Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires.

Hennessey Venom F5 is able to accelerate from 0 to 300 km/h for only 10 seconds and same sprint but to 400 km/h for 20 seconds. These records are few seconds faster than Koenigsegg Agera RS or Bugatti Chiron. The company expects this monster to accelerate till the 484 km/h (300 mph) or even high! So let’s wait for the video proof.

Hennessey is going to build 24 models. If you would like to buy one estimate price is $1,6 million and also you could get some upgrades for additional $600 000. Founder John Hennessey is going to approve orders himself.
